1. Understand the Job Role of Probationary Officer (PO) and Banks

• Before the interview, research the govt banks, its products, services, and its corporate culture. Understand the job profile of PO thoroughly, including the skills needed for the position.

2. Stay Updated on Banking related and other Current Affairs

• Bank interviews often include questions about the economy, finance, government policies. Stay updated on the latest news, especially in areas like interest rates, RBI policies, mergers, and financial inclusion.
• Read any national newspaper, watch or listen to podcasts related to financial news, and follow updates related to the banking sector

3. Be Clear on Your Resume/Biodata and Experience (if any)

• Make sure you can explain every point mentioned in your resume, including your qualifications, work experience, internships, and skills.
• Be prepared to discuss your strengths, weaknesses, and any achievements or challenges you’ve faced, relating them to how they can help you succeed in the banking sector.
