e. Child Labour (P & R) Act, 1986.
f. Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
g. Building & Other Construction Workers (RE & CS) Act, 1996.

11. General Mental Ability
Scheme of the Test
(a) The test will be of two hours duration and will carry a maximum of 300 marks.
(b) All questions carry equal marks.
(c) The test will be objective type questions with multiple choices of answer.
(d) The medium of Test will be both English and Hindi.
(e) There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one‐third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

Labour Enforcement Officer
(Central), Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Ministry of Labour & Employment The posts are permanent.
PAY SCALE : Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) + Rs.4600/-(G.P) (pre-revised), Level 7 of 7th CPC.
General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Age: 30 yrs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL: EDUCATIONAL:(i)Degree in Commerce or Degree with Economics /Sociology/Social work as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Law, Labour Relations, Labour Welfare, Labour Laws, Sociology, Commerce, Social work/Welfare, Business Administration, Personnel Management or any other allied subject relating to labour from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
DESIRABLE: Experience in Labour Laws, Labour Welfare, Labour Relations or Personnel Management in an Industrial Organisation or a Government establishment.
DUTIES:
(i) Inspection of establishments in the Central Sphere;
(ii) Enforcement of Labour Laws in the Central Sphere i.e. Railways, Mines, Oilfields, Banks, Insurance Companies, Ports etc.;
(iii) Promotion of Labour Welfare in Central Sphere undertakings;
(iv) Prosecution of cases of defaulters;
(v) Conciliation of Industrial Disputes, if empowered as Conciliation Officer, under the Industrial Disputes;
(vi) Verification of Trade Union membership and acquaintance with trade union movement in general;
(vii) Special enquiries on Labour matters entrusted from time to time.
NOTE: The duties of Labour Enforcement Officers (Central) involve intensive touring in different areas and residence in and out of ways places.
